He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Simpson and Hazel Simpson; and his sisters, Nancy Jones and Christine Skelton. He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Simpson; his children, Julie Boozer (Rick), James Simpson and Jerry Simpson (April); his sister Pat Burgess; and his grandchildren, Lydia Simpson, Abigail Simpson, David Simpson, Addison Simpson and Austin Bennefield.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Wood Mortuary, Inc. (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
