We are sad to announce that, on November 16, 2025, at the age of 88, Joann R. Newton (Greer, South Carolina), born in Walhalla, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald Eugene Newton, Sr.; her parents, Eugene Rowland and Elizabeth Cox Rowland; her son Ronald E. "Ronnie" Newton, Jr.; her stepdaughter Rhonda McCuen; and her brother Richard Rowland.
She is survived by: her daughters, Robin C. Wellmon (Chris) of Greer and Leslie Martin of Greer; her stepdaughter Ginger Dauenhauer of Pelzer; her siblings, Bobby Rowland (Bettie) of Taylors, Fred Rowland of Greer, David Rowland of Taylors, Margaret Freedman (Paul) of Landrum, Kaye Farmer (Charles) of Greer and Lynne Lister (Jerry) of Moore; and her close friend Walter Belk. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
