It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph G. Mahaffey Sr. (Greer, South Carolina), who passed away on August 15, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Pearl Howell Mahaffey and Joseph Madison "Mack" Mahaffey; and his siblings, Marie Rogers, James Mahaffey, Aaron Mahaffey, Fred Mahaffey and Furman Mahaffey.

He is survived by: his spouse Alinda Wood Mahaffey; his children, Susan Jane Mahaffey and Joseph G. Mahaffey, Jr.; his grandsons, Alex, Matthew and Andrew Mahaffey; and his sister Frances Glascoe. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends after the committal service, keeping in mind the social distancing guidelines.
