She was predeceased by: her parents, James Andrew and Virginia Ann Kidd Berger; and her granddaughter KatieMae. She is survived by: her husband Glyn Carson Simpson; her children, Stuart Jack Simpson of Fairfield, Spencer Glyn Simpson (Lindsay) of Guyton, Georgia, Stacey Joy Freely (Phillip) of Greer and Savannah Jill Root (John David) of Lyman; her sister Janet McCready (David) of Evans, Georgia; and her grandchildren, K. J., Liam, Landon, Jack, Carson, Elora, Sofia and LunaRae.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wood Mortuary, Inc. (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greer First Baptist Church (201 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650).
