He is survived by: his wife Anna Marie Bucklew Challenger of Greer; his children, Ross Craig Challenger of Irving, Texas and Jodie Gunter of Manchester, England; the mother of his children Patricia Ann Challenger of New Bern; his stepdaughter Shelby Lee of Knoxville, Tennessee; his siblings, David Challenger (Jane) of Sheffield, England and Cindy Branquet (Shane); and his grandchildren, Jack Cain, Harper Cain, Natalie Cain and Georgia Gunter.
