Lillis McCollum (Holman) McCormic Obituary

Lillis Holman McCormic, 87, wife of the late William Martin McCormic, Sr., passed away June 16, 2026.
A native of Sumter, South Carolina, daughter of the late Francis Kennedy and Hughla Lee McCollum Holman. Mrs. McCormic loved being an active member of her church First Baptist Church Clemson, gardening, and playing bridge. She was a true southern lady who loved everyone, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her sister was her best friend, and she loved the Clemson Tigers. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are three children, Cecelia McCormic Buckley of Greer, South Carolina, Frances McCormic Wortkoetter (Gary) of Greer, South Carolina, and William Martin McCormic, Jr. (Christie) of Elgin, Illinois; a brother, Frank Kennedy Holman of Greenville, South Carolina; a sister, Betty Lee Davis of Chesterfield, South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Jamie Buckley (Lauren), Ben Buckley (Sophie), Joseph Wortkoetter (Kristen), Jacob Wortkoetter (Madison), Anna Shaw Wortkoetter, Logan Acosta (Mark), Abby McCormic, and Caroline McCormic; and five great-grandchildren, Maddox, Hattie, Miles, Anthony, and Violet.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Pastor Jamie Buckley.
Visitation will be held 1:00-1:45 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at The Wood Mortuary.
