She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Perry Dillard Jr. and Ruby Johnson Dillard; and her sister Betsy Cole. She is survived by: her husband Steve Howard; her stepchild Dale (Jenna); and her siblings, Bertha Fisher (Charles), Judy Bright (Bill), Mary Green (late Bucky), Ben Dillard (Haley) and Frankie Dillard (Susan). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews.

Memorials may be made to The Greer Christian Learning Center, 3055 E. Gap Creek Road, Greer, SC.

“I was shocked to hear about Lucy passing. She was fun to be with and made me laugh. When I was a young man, her mother offered me a home when I was recovering from losing someone. Aunt Ruby, Lucy, Frankie, Bennie, Betsy and Mary made me a part of their family. After active national guard training, Marshall & Gwen Johnson asked me to live with them; they were like 2nd parents to me and Marsha & Darrell like a sister & brother. I am blessed to have known these families. Tim Hutto”
