She was predeceased by : her parents, Ben Perry Dillard Jr. and Ruby Johnson Dillard; and her sister Betsy Cole. She is survived by : her husband Steve Howard; her stepchild Dale (Jenna); and her siblings, Bertha Fisher (Charles), Judy Bright (Bill), Mary Green (late Bucky), Ben Dillard (Haley) and Frankie Dillard (Susan). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews.

“I was shocked to hear about Lucy passing. She was fun to be with and made me laugh. When I was a young man, her mother offered me a home when I was recovering from losing someone. Aunt Ruby, Lucy, Frankie, Bennie, Betsy and Mary made me a part of their family. After active national guard training, Marshall & Gwen Johnson asked me to live with them; they were like 2nd parents to me and Marsha & Darrell like a sister & brother. I am blessed to have known these families. Tim Hutto”
