She was predeceased by : her husband James Dewey "J. D." Howard; her grandson Erik Howard; and her siblings, James Garner, Annie Revels and Lucille Christopher.

She is survived by : her son Tim Howard of Greer; her grandchildren, Derek Howard and Amanda Howard; her granddaughter-in-law Anna Howard; her sister Iris Bateman (Bob) of Taylors; and her sister-in-law Mary Harrison (Jack) of Inman.
