With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Martha King Lafoy (Greer, South Carolina), who passed away on April 27, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Boyce Verner King; her parents, Zeb Norman and Ruth Adlina Edge Cox; her brothers, Donald Cox and Jimmy Cox; and her former husband Thomas Earl Lafoy.
She is survived by: her children, David King (Kim) of Seattle, Richard King of Oviedo and Carol King Brown (Eddie) of Greer; her siblings, Arthur Cox of Whispering Pines, Joyce Dennen of Greer and LaLa Caddell of Whispering Pines; her niece Judy Myers Byrum (George) of Winston Salem; her nephew Eddie Myers (Donna) of Augusta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Taylor Webster (J. J.), Nicholas King (Jamie), Ashley King (Mike), Brooklyn King and Brandon King; and her great grandchildren, Leila King, Colby King and Alana King.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 PM at the Praise Cathedral (3390 Brushy Creek Rd, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
