She was predeceased by: her husband Hugh Stephenson Earnest; her parents, Joseph Allen and Arah Elizabeth Gurganus Poe; and her daughter Margaret Elizabeth Earnest. She is survived by: her children, Katherine McCollum (Matthew) of Huntsville, Alabama and Brian Earnest (Marianne) of Moore; and her grandchildren, Christopher McCollum (Kati) and Erin Martin (Isaiah). She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
