She was predeceased by: her parents, John Tinsley and Emma Tinsley; her brothers, Frank and Kenneth Tinsley; and her grandson Cory Hart.

She is survived by: her husband Freeman Rumsey; her children, Phil Rumsey (Sandy) of Hendersonville, NC, Patti Sutton (Dale) of Greer and Diane Hardison (Ken) of Williamston, NC; and her grandchildren, Luke (Shelley), Jake (Ashley), Emily (Scott), Ellen (John), Zach (Kristen) and Isaac (Madeline). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
