She was predeceased by: her husband James Walker Burdette; her parents, Fred Compton and Ruth Bass Compton; and her brother B. J. Compton. She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Burdette of Gray Court and Terrie Straub (Eddie) of Travelers Rest. She is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
