He is survived by: his wife Hortencia Gallegos; his children, Alma Lorena Salas (Marcos) of Durango, Cruz Celmira Salas (Leonides) of Durango, Fredy Rene Salas (Griselda), Alba Nora Salas (Armando) of Greer, Yadira Yanet Salas (Mario) of Lyman, Pedro Evaribaldo Salas (Miriam) of Inman and Oscar Ricardo Salas (Mayra) of Greer; and his siblings, Hortencia Salas-Escalante (Goudencio), Leocadio Salas-Escalante (Maria), Teodula Salas-Escalante and Alonso Salas-Escalante (Rocio). He is also survived by twenty grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
