She was predeceased by: her parents, Connie Pittman Peace and Joel Dean Peace; and her former husband Fay L. "Sonny" Lanford Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Larry Crawford; her son Chris Lanford (Debra Godfrey); her granddaughters, Kayla Lawson (Drake), Megan Dunton (Cody) and Kendall Lanford; her great grandchildren, Atlas Rodriguez and Oliver Dunton; and her siblings, Sue Hammett (Robert), Mattie Edens (late Pete) and Maurice Peace (Velia).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wood Mortuary, Inc. (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wood Mortuary Chapel (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 123 W Antrim Drive, Greenville, South Carolina 29607 or Upstate Community Hospice House, 260 Fairwinds Drive, Landrum, South Carolina 29356 in honor of Rachel's memory.
