He was predeceased by : his brother Roger Jones. He is survived by : his wife Lisa Jolley Jones; his children, Rachel Jones, Victoria Amsler (Paul) of Inman and Spencer Jones of Campobello; his grandchildren, Elora Grace Amsler, Noah Amsler and Addison Amsler; and his sister Renee Bridwell of Lyman.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 20th 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wood Mortuary, Inc. (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 21st 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Holly Springs Baptist Church (251 Hannon Rd, Inman, SC 29349).
