He is survived by: his wife Catherine Porter Southerland; his daughter Cathy Jean Campbell (Mark) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Natalie Smith (Micah) of Dallas, Kevin Craft (Maria Peacock) of Taylors and Jason Craft (Yolanda) of Greenville; and his great grandchildren, Micah Smith, Jr., Daniel Smith, Katy Ann Smith, Reed Craft, Abigail Feller, Alexis Craft, Josiah Craft, Elisha Craft and Kharis Craft.
