He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vernon Whiteside and Bertha Mae Beasley; and his siblings, Lois Clevland, Joanne Miller, Dorothy J Smith, Bertha Elizabeth Miller, Bobby Whiteside, Roger Whiteside and Virgil Whiteside.
He is survived by: his sisters, Louvenia Whiteside of Greer, SC and Loretta Whiteside Davis of Greer, SC; and his adoptive daughter Crystal Fielder. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fred Singleton Slumber Room of the Gilmore Mortuary (214 Memorial Dr, Greer, SC 29650). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Gilmore Mortuary Chapel (214 Memorial Dr, Greer, SC 29650).
