Statia Ervin Sorgee Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 16, 2025, at the age of 45, Statia Ervin Sorgee (Greer, South Carolina), born in Mooresville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Statia may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her son William Blake Sorgee of Greer; her siblings, Brandon Ervin (Krystal) of Mooresville, Clayton Ervin of Mooresville and Kaitlyn Smith (Kyle) of Mooresville; her stepmother Lorraine Ervin of Mooresville; and her aunt Tina Lee of Davidson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Wood Mortuary, Inc. (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wood Mortuary Chapel (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650).
