He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyce Jack and Frances Fitts Barnette. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Kay Lindsey Barnette; his children, Stephen Barnette of Greer, Lindsay Bastian (Tony) and Lauren Hartzell (Jacob) of Inman; his stepdaughter Lindsey Evans (Paul) of Greenville; his siblings, Eddie Barnette of Greer, Sheila Scruggs (Danny) and Teresa Howard (Joe) of Greer; and his grandchildren, Luke, Matthew, Alivia, Millie, Miles, Maddie, Lilly and Oliver.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Wood Mortuary, Inc. (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Wood Mortuary Chapel (300 W Poinsett St, Greer, SC 29650).
