He is survived by: his wife Sharon Noon Coker; his son Brent Steven Coker (Sarah) of Taylors; his grandchild Bryson Coker; his brother Keith Coker of Taylors; his nephew Danny Coker (Joey); and his great-niece Ella Coker.

“I grew up with Steve and, as sometimes happens, I lost touch with him over the years. But when I heard that he had passed, I was heartbroken. He had been my buddy since elementary school. I spent lots of time hanging at his house and vice versa. He was a great guy and I am sure was a wonderful husband, Dad and Grand Dad. He will be missed...even by those who hadn't seen him in decades. He was that kind of guy.”
