It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sybil McIntosh of Greer, South Carolina, who passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Dewey Vaughn and Lounette Flemming Vaughn; her husband Thomas B. McIntosh; her stepdaughters, Elizabeth "Liz" Nordvoll (Segurd) and Terry L. McIntosh; her siblings, James "Jimmy" Vaughn, Calvin Vaughn and Margaret Jones; her former husband Francis "Frank" Bruce of Greer; and also Joseph Varisco of Metairie, Louisiana..
She is survived by: her son Rickey M. Bruce; her stepchildren, Thomas McIntosh, Jr. (Chris), Jeanie Kuhn (Kenneth) and Kim Nicholas (Ron); her grandchildren, Jennifer B. Morrison (Brad) and Jason P. Bruce (Sarah); and her great grandchildren, Gavin Morrison, Ella Morrison, Parker Bruce and Aubrey Bruce. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
