Teresa Hendrix Obituary
Teresa Johnson Hendrix, 59, went to her heavenly home on February 24, 2022 surrounded by close family and friends following a courageous battle with several health issues.
Teresa was a native of Taylors, SC, daughter of Evelyn Ward Johnson and the late Duncan Charles Johnson.
Surviving are one brother, Keith Johnson (Kristy), one sister, Julia Riddle (John); nephews and nieces, Jason Johnson, Justin Johnson (Michelle), Joshua Hemphill (Cora), Taylor Johnson (Cat), Haley Smith (Devin); step-nieces and nephews: Audra Bettinelli (Jerome), Laura Gramling (Phillip), Nick Segars, Kaitlyn Segars; great nieces and nephews, Hannah Johnson, Riley Johnson, Clara Hemphill, Charlie Hemphill, Marley Craig Smith; step-great nephew and niece, Luca Bettinelli and Lily Bettinelli; sister-in-law, Becky Johnson; and close friends, Lewis Hendrix (Shancie), and Debra McGregor (Jeff).
Teresa was predeceased by one brother, Craig Johnson.
Teresa was a graduate of Riverside High School. She had a successful 40-year career with Ferguson Enterprises, working in the Greenville and Spartanburg, SC locations for 25 years and the Minneapolis, Minnesota locations for the past 15 years. She held many different titles as she grew with the company, with the latest title of Area Operations Manager.
She had a vibrant and outgoing personality, generous, kind hearted and extremely dedicated to her family. Teresa enjoyed spending time at the beach and lake with her family and friends. She loved animals, especially her Folly Girl ("the prettiest girl in the world").
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Tommy Harvey. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jason Johnson, Justin Johnson, Josh Hemphill, Taylor Johnson and Devin Smith.
Visitation will be held prior to the Memorial service from 12:30-1:45 p.m. at The Wood Mortuary.
The family would like to thank Caris Healthcare, Smith Phayer Hospice House, Agape Hospice and the doctors, nurses and staff of Mary Black Hospital, Spartanburg, SC for their exceptional care, support, comfort and love for Teresa and the family.
The family would like also thank Teresa's good friends and family away from home in Minnesota, Melissa Kapla and Tracy Bench for the love, care and support for Teresa and for helping the family transition her back to Taylors, South Carolina.
