He was predeceased by : his siblings, Christine B. Giles and John William Brissey. He is survived by : his wife Linda Chapman Brissey; his children, Harold Beck Brissey (Ginger), Erin B. Lewis (Billy), John William Brissey, II (Frances), Ryan C. Brissey (Caitlin) and Shawn W. Nezhat of Ceana, M. D.; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Jack, Julianna Brissey, Tanner (Vicky), Lexi Lewis, Nicolas and Alexander Nezhat.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Mackey Funerals and Cremations (311 Century Dr, Greenville, SC 29607). A burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at the Woodlawn Memorial Park (1 Pine Knoll Dr, Greenville, SC 29609).
