He was predeceased by : his parents, Curtis Pilgrim and Mary Turner Pilgrim; and his siblings, Curtis, Phillip, Bobby, Dennis Pilgrim and Elizabeth Synground.

He is survived by : his wife Kathryn Marie Reid; his children, Candida Pilgrim, Penny Pilgrim Cudd, Melissa Pilgrim, Billy Joe Reid and Charles Todd Reid; his siblings, Ricky, Mike, Shane, Russell Pilgrim and Patsy Lawhorn; and his grandchildren, Destiney, Dajan, Devin Woodruff and Aareona Reid.
