She was predeceased by: her husband Edgar Hindman; her parents, George William and Nellie Pruitte Carpenter; her former husband Jim Oliver; her son-in-law Tyree Edward Hyatt; her siblings, Charles Carpenter, Lewis A. Carpenter, James W. Carpenter, Richard G. Carpenter, Kathryn Carpenter, Elizabeth Jackson and Margaret Hammett; and her granddaughter Susan Allyce Hyatt Caiaccio.
She is survived by: her daughter Gail C. Hyatt of Lyman; her siblings, Rev. Al Carpenter (Millie) of Gloucester, VA, Marilyn Miller of Greer, Ada Harrison of Greer, Aileen Sykes of Hope Mills, NC and Frances Southerland of Taylors; her granddaughter Stacey Hyatt Wascom of Duncan; her great grandchildren, Maxwell Wascom, Hayden Wascom, Hunter Wascom and Laine Hyatt Caiaccio; and her grandson-in-law Kevin Caiaccio of Atlanta, GA.
