We are sad to announce that on May 7, 2025, at the age of 74, Amos A. Wood III of Hamer, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Amos is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Amos' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos A. Wood, Jr. and Blanche Warnken Wood. He is survived by: his wife Bertha Wood of Hamer; his children, Tina Wood of Marshfield, Buddy Wood of New Mexico, Barbara McKay of Juno Beach and Edward Wood (April) of Hanson, Massachusetts; and his sisters, Nancy Govoni (Brian) of Hamer, Judy Harlow (Rick) of Pompano Beach and Dorothea Francis of Illinois. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
