He was predeceased by: his parent Vernelle; and his stepson Joe Bowen. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Peeples of Hampton; his daughters, Tara Peeples (Shannon) of Greensboro, NC and Brooke Shaffer Price (Chris) of Greensboro, NC; his stepson Jeffrey Bowen of Flint, Michigan; his siblings, Wanda Atkinson (Don) of Hampton, Russell Gibson of Hampton, Dana Gibson (Dawn) of Hampton and Jodi Dennie (Steve) of Dallas, TX.; his grandchildren, Savannah Shaffer, Christopher Shaffer, Knox Peeples and Charlotte Price; his stepgrandchildren, Alex Bowen, Xavier Witt and Jayden Bowen; and his great grandchild Josie Witt.
