It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marjorie Avant Varn (Hampton, South Carolina), who passed away on July 10, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wyman Calvin Mole and Susie Lee Harriott Mole; and her husband Henry Varn of North Charleston. She is survived by: her children, Rev. Ronald L. Avant (Anne) of Rock Hill, SC, Andrew Steven Avant (Ginger) of Hartsville, SC, Joseph C. Avant (Lisa) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Sharon Avant Salley (Robert) of Chester, SC; her grandchildren, Lisa Rains, Amanda Shumpert, Justin Avant, Jessica Smith, John Avant and Ryan Salley; and her stepdaughters, Voncil Manself (John) and Christine Driggers (Curtis). She is also survived by loving her family, friends.
