It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Simmons Jr. of Hardeeville, South Carolina, who passed away on August 1, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Ernestine Simmons, and James Simmons, Sr.; his children, James II, Jaden, Vince and Rosa Lee Whitehead; his sisters, Ethel M. Grant of Bluffton and Sarah E. of Levy, SC; and his aunt Rose Ella Bryant of Charlotte, NC. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
