She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Bates and Lessie Clark Bates; her husband Samuel M. David; and her siblings, Milton "Talmadge" Bates, Linberg Bates, Lessie McCormick, Henry Bates and Eloise Mathis.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa, Lorri, LaTrelle and Sam; her in-laws, Michael, Brian and Bridget; her grandchildren, Gregory, Lauren, Ashley, Victoria, John, Jessica, James and Danielle; and her great grandchildren, Thaddeus, Zariah, Anastasia, Zayden and Emilia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
