He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Wallace and Elsie Waters Wise; his wife Mary Louise Wise; and his grandson Christopher D. Dixon. He is survived by: his children, Richard D. Wise (Christy Wells), Sandra W. Renew (Tony) and Edward W. Wise; his grandchildren, Nicholas D. Wise, Joshua Wise (Angela) and Christian Wise; his stepgrandchildren, Megan Renew and Anthony Renew; his great grandchild Victoria Wise; and his brother Robert K. Wise (Janet). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
