She was predeceased by: her mother Annie Erwin Hammond; her husband James Roosevelt Hammond; her father John Erwin; her stepdaughter Teresa H. Floyd; and her siblings, Frances Erwin Skipper, John C. Erwin and James A. Erwin.
She is survived by: her sons, Lewis Hammond (Sherry) and Gregory Hammond (Jennifer); her stepdaughters, Elaine H. Weatherford and Kathy Hammond; and her close friend Marilyn Flowers. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Forest Hills Baptist Church, 325 Forest Hills Drive, Hartsville, SC 29550.
