He is survived by: his wife Vicki Calder Dorn of Hartsville, SC; his children, Drayton Dorn of Hartsville, SC and Kerry Dorn of Hartsville, SC; his granddaughter Lily Kate of Hartsville, SC; his brothers, Peter Drayton Dorn Jr. (Susan) of Charleston, SC and James Walton Dorn of Charleston, SC.; his siblings-in-law, Andrew George Calder, Laurie Calder-Green (David) and Tamara Jacobus (John); his siblings' children, Chanse Dorn (Amy), Daniel Dorn, Paul Roberts (Sara), John David Jacobus (Emma), Ashley Dorn-Woods (Jonathan), Emily Roberts (Ashley), Hannah Shamy-Calder (Chelsea) and Caroline Dorn Hagan (Pat); his great-nieces, Hannah Dorn, Adalie Dorn, Lexia Woods, Audrey Roberts and Caroline Jacobus; and his great-nephew Carter Roberts.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Luke Methodist Church (302 Dunlap Dr, Hartsville, SC 29550). Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Luke Fellowship Hall (302 Dunlap Dr, Hartsville, SC 29550).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to the David Dorn Memorial Foundation, 903 Red Maple Court, Hartsville, SC 29550.
