She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene Autry Johnson and Mary McDonald Johnson; her son Dr. Joshua Johnson "Josh" Howle; and her nephews, John Casey Johnson and Trenton Farish "Trent" Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Boyce "Boyce" Howle; her son Jerry Howle (Tiffany) of Pinehurst; her granddaughters, Shepherd and Vivian Howle; her siblings, Woody Johnson (Tanya) of Rutherfordton, Wendy Howle (Kenny) of Hartsville, Tonya Hawkins (Lawrence) of Hartsville and Daniel Johnson (Heather) of McBee; and her sisters-in-law, Jacquelyn Mixon (Mickey) of Hartsville, Louise Talbert (A. J.) of Hartsville and Kaye Johnson of Hartsville. She is also survived by extended family; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, step-nieces, step-nephews, cousins, extended family.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Creek Baptist Church (1635 Cedar Creek Rd, Hartsville, SC 29550). A reception was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall.
