He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Ratliff and Willie Mae McDaniel Ratliff; and his siblings, Cilla Peterson, Annie Lee Burton and Joseph Ratliff.

He is survived by : his children, Howard Johnson (Tiffany) of Detroit, MI and Natasha Ratliff of Hartsville; his grandchildren, Tornecia Jackson, Jeremy Abraham, Clifton Abraham, Alayjah Canty, Demonte Johnson, Kenneth Matlock III, Aniyah White, Bryson Moses and Omarion Richardson; his siblings, Jessie Belvin, Helen Henderson, Sally Brown, Sarah Jeffery, Paul Ratliff Jr. (Margaret Ann), Ernest Ratliff, Harry Ratliff (Evelyn) and Ronald Ratliff; and his close friend Barbara Ford. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, twenty-one nieces, nine nephews, twenty-four great-nephews, and twenty-six great-nieces, and a host of other relative and friends.
