It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maxine Mullis Johnson of Hartsville, South Carolina, who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Maniway Mullis and Faye Knight Mullis; and her brothers, Ronnie and Keith Mullis. She is survived by: her husband Paul Wesley Johnson, Jr.; her daughter Trina Newsome (Lee); her grandsons, Jake and Bryce Newsome; her sister Linda Mullis; and her grandchild Ellie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Norton Funeral Home of Hartsville (1414 W Carolina Ave, Hartsville, SC 29550). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Whispering Pines Baptist Church (2182 N Fifth St, Hartsville, SC 29550).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of one's choice in Maxine's honor.
