He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wroten Lee Jr. and Minnie Moore Lee; and his wife Kathy Irby Lee. He is survived by: his children, Bethany James (Charlie), Robby Lee and Bryan Lee (Julia); his grandchildren, Irby James and Tony Charles James III; his sisters, Ginny Lee and Betsy Howle (Joel); and his friend Michael Monroe. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; a cousin.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Norton Funeral Home (1414 W Carolina Ave, Hartsville, SC 29550).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to McLeod Hospice House, 1203 E. Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29501, in honor of Chip's memory.
