He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Winburn and Rosa Lee Outlaw; his daughter Lisa Dixon Gainey; and his sister Ellen Welch. He is survived by: his wife Mary Katherine Dixon of Bethune, SC; his children, William Robert Dixon, Jr. (Cindy) of Cheraw, SC and Nancy Dixon Freeman (Kenny) of Hartsville, SC; his sister Mildred Melton of Darlington, SC; his grandchildren, Marcus Dixon, Jessica Smith, Tray Dixon, Taylor Jacobs, Lee Gainey, Taylor Gainey and Brittany Freeman; his son-in-law Maxie Gainey; and his siblings-in-law, Martha Privette (Eugene) of Cassatt, SC and Ernest Talbert of Kershaw, SC. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces, 2 nephews.
