He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Alexander and Jeanette Hill Alexander; and his siblings, Hattie Louise Hoffman, Jane Dority, Margaret Ann Kelly, John Wayne Alexander and Sammy Alexander.

He is survived by: his wife Ashley Alexander; and his sisters, Ann Caudle (Wiley) and Pat Tillman. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces; and other family and friends.
