He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde J Sims and Frances M Sims; his son Christopher D. Sims; and the parents of child, Clyde and Frances Sims.
He is survived by: his wife Terry Sims; his daughter Sharon Hargett (Stephen) of Lancaster, SC; his grandchildren, Christina Lowe (Josh) of Lancaster, SC, Katelyn Holland (Nick) of Charleston, SC, Tyler Glover (Felicia) of Lancaster, SC and Benjamin Sims of Rock Hill, SC; and his siblings, Leonard Sims (Peggy) of Heath Springs, SC and Becky Slade (Mike) of Rock Hill, SC.. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fork Hill Baptist Church - Family Life Center (1125 Fork Hill Rd, Heath Springs, SC 29058). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fork Hill Baptist Church (1125 Fork Hill Rd, Heath Springs, SC 29058). A burial was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at the Fork Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (1125 Fork Hill Rd, Heath Springs, SC 29058).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Fork Hill Baptist Church Golden Age Group, 1125 Fork Hill Rd, Heath Springs SC 29058, or charity of one's choice.
