She was predeceased by: her husband Douglas Carroll Hammond; her parents, Miller Knight and Annie Grace Mobley Knight; and her brother Danny Knight. She is survived by: her children, Ricky Hammond, Mark Hammond (Debra) of Heath Springs, Sherry Ghent (Glenn) of Lake Wateree and Melissa Williams (Richard) of Cherryville, NC; her siblings, Jerry Knight (Sandra), Bobby Knight (Julie), Keith Knight (Linda), Chucky Deese (Angie), Dot Sims (Phil) and Sue Sullivan (David); her grandchildren, Jason Ghent, Brittany Faile, Jamie Dozier, Bryan Dozier, Kimberly Reed, Ashley Denton, Nikki Hammond, Erik Hammond, Hannah Hammond, Morgan Hammond and Katie Grace Hammond; and her sister-in-law Elma Knight. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the SonLight Community Church of the Nazarene (569 Monroe Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
