She was predeceased by : her parents, Haskel Adams and Bernice Sims Adams; her siblings, Marvin Adams and Lorainne Blackmon; and her daughter-in-law Betty Ashley.

She is survived by : her husband Clyde Ashley of Heath Springs; her sons, Darren Ashley (Alice) of Heath Springs, Chipper Ashley (Patricia) of Salem, VA and Montagu Ashley of Heath Springs; and her grandchildren, Brandon, Whitney, Donna, Brent and Savannah. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
