He was predeceased by : his parents, Effel Jack "E. J." McManus, Sr. and Etta Melton McManus; his spouse Marcine Mackey McManus; and his siblings, E. J. McManus, Jr., John McManus, Mae Doris M. Hinson, Louise M. Bowers, Lillian M. Phillips, Alene M. Catoe and Mary Helen M. Phillips.

He is survived by : his children, Sheila McManus and Clint McManus (Sharon Lowery); his grandson Michael McManus; his siblings, Olin McManus, James McManus, Henry McManus, Carl Lee McManus and Dori M. Kullbom; and his pets, Bindi and Oscar.
