She was predeceased by: her husband Clinton Carmichael; her parents, John Quincy Spell and Sena Ard Spell; her son Randall Carmichael; and her son-in-law Mike Pope.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn C. Pope of Hemingway and Barry Dean Carmichael (Jeannie) of Hemingway; her grandchildren, Chris Pope of Hemingway, Melinda Howard (Mark) of Johnsonville, Jennifer LeBlanc (Nathan) of Murrells Inlet and Scott Carmichael (Kaycie) of Florence; her great grandchildren, Jacob Howard and Katelyn Jordan; her great great grandchild Emma Grace Kvadas; and her brother Everette Spell of Florence.
