He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Charles Dewey Huggins, Sr. and Rena Melvina Cox Huggins; and his siblings, Francis Huggins Ridgill, Jimmy Huggins, Tom Huggins, Catherine Fleming and Dick Huggins.

He is survived by: his wife Patsy Haselden "Pat" Huggins; his children, Genie Matthews (George) of Murrells Inlet, Hal Huggins (Darlene) of Orangeburg and Tim Huggins (Ingrid) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Zack Huggins (Elizabeth), Allie Bunch (Eric), Max Huggins (Savannah), Hillary Evans (John), Kristen Huggins and Hayden Huggins (Amalie); and his great grandchildren, Corbett Huggins, Eden Huggins, Luke Huggins, Banning Bunch, Keller Bunch, Roman Bunch, Nolan Evans and Brady Evans.
