He is survived by: his wife Frances Ferguson Smith; and his sons, Michael Smith (Harriet) of Hilda, Phillip Smith (Patricia) of Hilda, Ray Smith of Hilda and Richard Smith (Caralena) of Hilda. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
