He was predeceased by : his parents, William Elbert Ray and Elizabeth Ann Tompkins Ray; and his brothers, William Elbert Ray, Jr., Joey Del Ray and Gary Dewaine Ray.

He is survived by : his wife Hilda Walters Ray; his children, Brandi Wynn (Nickolas) of Georgetown and Ivy Ray of Tumwater, Washington; his siblings, Julia Flegel of Georgetown, Sheila Locklair (Johnny) of Georgetown, Shakey Madden (Cherrie) of Maggie Valley and Arnie Barns (Kristie) of Fort Worth, Texas; his granddaughter Adalyn Wynn; and his sister-in-law Annette Owens (Ronnie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family will accept memorial donations to help with final expenses.
