It is with sadness that the passing of Gregory Ronald Gillen of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina is shared. Gregory, born on December 13, 1942, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Gregory will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Gregory by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Gregory is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Gregory’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Christian Gillen (Jennifer) of Madeira, OH and Laura Gillen of Dublin, OH; and his grandchildren, Margaret, Amelia and Luke.
He served as Finance Chairman at Wesley United Methodist Church and was the President of the Rotary Club of Portsmouth, OSU Alumni Association, McDermott Parent Teacher Group, Southern Ohio Dental Society, and Scioto County Area Foundation.
