Howard Laurence Ackerman Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on March 20, 2026, at the age of 83, Howard Laurence Ackerman (Hilton Head Island, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Howard has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ackerman and Hortense Ackerman. He is survived by: his wife Joan Prince Ackerman; his children, Michael Ackerman and Nancy DiPaolo; his son-in-law James DiPaolo; and his grandsons, Kevin Ackerman, Jason DiPaolo and Alex DiPaolo. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
