We are sad to announce that, on February 18, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Laura Dawn Carr (Hilton Head Island, South Carolina), born in Aiken, South Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid adieu to Laura's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Laura has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard J. Bass and Barbara Jean Hodson. She is survived by: her sons, Patrick W. Carr (Starr) and Brian C. Carr of Columbia; her sisters, Joanne Brown (Walter) of Kingstree and Janet Bass of Aiken; and her grandson James Patrick Carr (JP). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in support of the Men's Golf program at Christopher Newport University.
